Certified Manager Prep Program

The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) is the world’s largest certifying organization, with certification granted to more than 10,000 management professionals. The ICPM confers the Certified Manager (CM) designation upon those individuals who meet education and experience requirements and pass three examinations documenting professional skills in a wide variety of management areas.

Davenport University is the first “preferred provider” of Certified Manager training and education in Michigan

Davenport University is now accepting inquires of interest in its Certified Manager (CM) Prep Program. Designed for the convenience of working adults, Davenport’s CM Prep Program includes an examination of Foundations of Management, Planning and Organizing and Leading and Controlling that prepares students to “sit” for the CM exams.

Through Davenport’s CM Prep Program participants will gain management experience and instruction from an experienced CM, professor and businessperson. They will receive individual attention in a cohort group learning environment and will experience application-based learning that includes: critical thinking and problem-solving skills development, real-life organizational examples, self-esteem building and networking opportunities.

Employer benefits to employees earning CM certification include setting quality management standards as well as the demonstration of commitment to the workplace in terms of keeping one’s management skills up-to-date. For individual CM candidates, CM certification increases management knowledge and strategies and conveys professional achievement.
