Davenport University's Grand Rapids Lettinga campus is an active community, jammed with great programs, events and traditions

Panther Prowl

Panther Prowl is a three day transitional program full of fun activities to familiarize first year students with everything DU. It takes place the week prior to the start of fall classes. 

  • Get introduced to Davenport
  • Learn about the local community
  • Meet other students
  • Be involved in many fun activities!

Pantherpalooza

Pantherpalooza is the official kick off to the school year which happens the first Friday of the fall semester. It’s an exciting, free event for all DU students, faculty and staff. It's a big welcome that includes:

  • FREE Food
  • Registered Student Organization (RSO) Booths
  • DU Department Representatives
  • Local Business & Community Contacts
  • Area restaurants and much more!

This is a great opportunity to:

  • GET FREE STUFF! 
  • Meet new people
  • Find out about involvement opportunities on campus
  • Connect with local employers and opportunities in the community

Constitution Day

Student Life recognizes Constitution Day. The U.S. Congress set this as a national day of recognition to promote awareness about the U.S. Constitution, which was signed on September 17, 1787. You'll find:

  • Constitutional trivia
  • Campus constitution display

Homecoming

Homecoming. A week jammed with DU spirit for students, alumni, faculty and community friends! Homecoming has a lot to celebrate, including:

  • Davenport alumni support and success
  • Our community partnerships
  • DU's incredible athletic teams 
  • Davenport University as a community

Annual "don't-miss" homecoming events that include a Desser Wars, Pep Rally, Bonfire, and more!

Spring Fling

Spring Fling not only shakes off the chill of Michigan winter, it says "boo-yah!" to the end of the academic year. Student Life cooks up a random roster of ways to kick back! Check OrgSync for more details.

Watch the kick-off to the tournament and party on campus with your favorite tailgate foods!

Don't shy away from volunteering! It's a true "feel-good" opportunity and it gets noticed on your resume. Our four “DU Days of Service” events are just the beginning. Contact the Volunteer Center any time you'd like to donate your time to a good cause,  on your own or with a group!
