Created by Davenport University, Casa Latina is a groundbreaking approach to higher education utilizing bilingual methodology across its curriculum to help students become experts in their chosen fields, and professionally proficient in both English and Spanish.
Our career-oriented, bilingual degree programs are geared toward successful careers delivered through our online Global Campus. We offer bilingual, bicultural student support and services in the language of your preference. This includes admissions, financial aid, advising, counseling, bursars' services, tutoring and library services.

How does the program work?
The Casa Latina program empowers our students to pursue their degrees through flexible, online courses in which the language of instruction alternates weekly between English and Spanish. Deliverables, discussion and all other activities will also be in the language of that week.
Take advantage of our seven-week semesters. The faster-paced curriculum allows you to complete your degree faster and get to the career you love sooner. We also offer multiple start dates to accommodate even the busiest of schedules.
While not a language program, Casa Latina will broaden your future professional opportunities by improving your skills in both languages so you graduate professional fluent in both English and Spanish.

The certificate in urban education bilingual degree is an alternate route to the teacher certification program. This program awards candidates with a certificate in urban education and an interim teaching certificate in subject areas corresponding to passage of specific Michigan Teacher Test for Certification content area competency exams. This alternate route to the teacher certification program allows individuals to teach in Michigan schools while fulfilling credential requirements.

Are scholarships available?
At Davenport, our mission is to provide each and every one of our students with the means to pursue an education that will help them achieve the career of their choice. That's why, Davenport is offering a new Casa Latina Scholarship.
Available for both undergraduate and graduate Casa Latina programs, Davenport’s new Casa Latina Scholarship is an annual scholarship offering up to $9,200 for undergraduate students and up to $5,000 for graduate students. A student must enroll full-time to receive this annual award and a pro-rated amount will be awarded for students attending less than full-time.

How do I apply?

Davenport University accepts, evaluates and validates credentials of studies completed outside of the United States. Simply submit your foreign credentials, and we'll handle the rest.
