Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA)

Davenport University FTA Policy

Davenport University strives to keep expenses at a minimum for all of our currently serving military members. Tuition for classes approved for Military TA is assessed on an individual basis. Typically, tuition for each class approved for Military TA is 100% covered.

Tuition coverage is complete by and will show on your bill as the Military Tuition Adjustment. The Military Adjustment is the difference between the current military tuition rate and the amount of educational tuition assistance the student receives from the military, minus any financial aid (including grants and scholarships) and applies only to the classes for which students are receiving Military Tuition Assistance. Fees remain the student's responsibility.

Students must provide the required Tuition Assistance authorization form to the school every semester that they attend. Depending on the branch of service, it may also be the responsibility of the student to submit their final course grades using their respective branches preferred method and within the allotted time.

Military TA is not applied until Davenport bills the respective branch of the military (which is usually at the end of the semester).

Davenport University has signed the DoD MOU and is a participating parent institution.
