Undergraduate Degrees
The accounting bilingual BBA degree develops technical skills combined with the teamwork and leadership skills expected of today’s accounting professionals. You will learn to develop and maintain accounting records, prepare financial statements, and begin to use accounting information as a decision-making tool. Cost accounting, budgeting, and individual and corporate tax courses will enhance your professional knowledge, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
The human resource management degree offers you broad exposure to human resource careers, topics, policies and real-world applications. You’ll gain the strong critical thinking and communication skills human resource professionals need.
The management bilingual BBA degree will prepare you for management and leadership roles to support business growth and change. You’ll develop knowledge and skills in the areas of planning, leading, organizing and controlling, to improve organizational performance and sustainability.
The marketing bilingual BBA will familiarize you with the marketing functions and processes that deliver customer value and enhance customer relationships. You’ll utilize varied learning methodologies to build critical thinking, problem solving and ethical decision-making skills needed in today’s global environment.
With a health services administration degree, you will be prepared for a successful career in healthcare organizations, including integrated healthcare systems, retirement and long-term care facilities, physicians’ practices, community health organizations and healthcare associations.
The technology project management degree will prepare you for management positions within the technology field. Coursework integrates accounting, finance, production, computer networking and CIS with in-depth project management practices.
This degree trains you and your classmates to become teachers of high-quality STEM education in the K-8 setting. This degree is a pathway to the alternative route to teacher certification, and you’ll be prepared to take the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC).
Graduate Degrees
The master of business administration bilingual degree builds skills in management, human capital management, business law, organizational leadership, economics, accounting, quantitative business analysis, operations management, corporate finance, marketing and strategic management.
Through this MBA with human resource management concentration, you will develop strategic problem-solving skills that are essential to the human resource profession. Upon completion, you’ll be prepared to take the SHRM Certified Professional exam.
The bilingual managerial accounting concentration will develop knowledge and skills in the five key competency areas of: 1) financial reporting and decisions; 2) planning, budgeting and forecasting; 3) performance management; 4) cost management; and 5) internal controls. Completion of this concentration also prepares students for Part One of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam.
The master of urban education will prepare you to meet the educational demands of urban settings. This degree emphasizes culturally sound teaching strategies in urban classrooms to foster student success. The coursework is complemented by clinical classroom observation, which allows faculty to provide immediate feedback on the skills that matter most in effective teaching.
The certificate in urban education bilingual degree is an alternate route to the teacher certification program. This program awards candidates with a certificate in urban education and an interim teaching certificate in subject areas corresponding to passage of specific Michigan Teacher Test for Certification content area competency exams. This alternate route to the teacher certification program allows individuals to teach in Michigan schools while fulfilling credential requirements.
