The Michigan Chamber of Commerce Talent Development Scholarship is a partnership with Davenport University.

How do I apply?
Complete an online application to Davenport University here. If you are eligible for the scholarship, you will receive notification from the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and Davenport University. Once you receive confirmation, you will be able to apply here for the Talent Development Scholarship and continue the admissions and enrollment process.
Can I be enrolled in any degree program and receive the Talent Development Scholarship?
Some degree programs are excluded from eligibility. The occupational therapy degree program is generally excluded from participating in this scholarship program.
I am an existing Davenport student. Can I receive the Talent Development Scholarship?
Scholarships apply to new students at Davenport University. Tuition scholarships are for new students who have not taken for-credit courses within the prior 24 months.
I am eligible for multiple Davenport Scholarship Programs. Can I receive multiple Davenport institution aid programs?
Students receiving the Talent Development Scholarship will not receive other Davenport aid, including other Davenport scholarships, grants, athletic aid, tuition discounts and foundation awards.
Do I have to complete a FAFSA or complete any financial aid requirements related to my FAFSA?
A FAFSA and its associated requirements are not required. However, any SAP requirements or requirements related to proving eligibility for the scholarship would be required. Completing a FAFSA may make you eligible for other federal or state aid, so you should consider completing one at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
What is “proof of employment”?
Proof of employment can be the most recent pay stub, an employee ID badge (verifying employment or expiration date), a letter from your supervisor or a letter from your employer’s human resources department.

How do I apply/register for a course?
Go to our course calendar to find the course and date you are interested in. Or click on the View Schedule/Register button located on the program webpage. Click Register and complete the online form. Be sure to enter the discount code to apply your savings.
How do I pay for the course?
Payment options include credit card or direct invoice. Payment details are sent after the registration, for some courses. If you choose to pay by invoice, we will need a contact person/email to send the invoice to your employer for payment.
Can I register multiple people at one time?
Yes! The best first step is to give us a call at 616.233.2589 or email ipex@davenport.edu. For group registrations, we typically require a name and email for each participant to get the registrations started. The 20% discount would still apply!
Who should attend?
Although there are no formal education requirements for our courses, they are most appropriate for individuals with three to five years of work experience. Each professional development course is designed with a particular audience in mind, which can be referenced on the webpage. While we strongly encourage global participation, please note that all courses are taught in English.
When are courses offered?
IPEx courses are offered year-round. The time commitment varies depending on the program, from one to six sessions. There are both in-person and online options available, so choose what works best for your goals and lifestyle. Take a look at our course calendar to find a date that works for you.
Do I receive a grade or credit for taking an IPEx course?
In general, IPEx courses are non-credit. Instead, they are a way to increase your expertise in your field and, as a result, build confidence in the work you do. However, some IPEx courses have been approved for academic credit. Contact us to learn more.
